    Job Summary:‍The Assistant Teacher will be responsible for supporting the Lead Teacher in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children in a child care center. The candidate must have experience working with young children and the ability to work as part of a team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate for children

    • Provide a safe and secure environment for children by supervising and monitoring all activities

    • Assist in facilitating children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development

    • Support the Lead Teacher in conducting regular assessments to track children’s progress and development

    • Communicate with parents and guardians about their child’s progress and needs

    • Help to maintain a clean and organized classroom environment

    • Attend staff meetings, professional development trainings, and other events as required

    • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and protocols

    Requirements:

    • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

    • Completion of an early childhood education or related program is preferred

    • At least 1 year of experience working with young children in a childcare setting

    • Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices

    • Ability to work as a part of a team

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Physical Demands:

    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds

    • Must be able to sit on the floor, stand for extended periods of time, and kneel or crouch at child’s level
